WHAT IS THE HIGHLANDS ABILITY BATTERY is the only 'performance'‐based assessment of natural abilities:
that measures aptitudes as visual speed and accuracy; ability to work with numbers and designs; inductive reasoning; analytical reasoning; idea flow; verbal aptitude; vocabulary level; structural visualization; musical aptitude; and several applications of memory. All of which may support your best career-fit.
WHO IS THIS DESIGNED FOR?
-
High school 9th - 12th grade students
-
Students who are unsure of their best career path
-
Students who have an idea of what they want to do, but need to validate more than just "interest", but can identify their cognitive abilities to see how they fit.
WHAT IS THE BEST TIME TO TAKE AN APTITUDE TEST?
Natural Abilities are innate but develop until a person begins puberty, from that point, natural abilities can be measured and are mostly constant for their lifetime.
The best time to be tested is about 14 (provided they have begun puberty) because the earlier someone begins to learn and understand their talents, they can begin using their talents. For example, the Highlands Ability Battery measures 5 specialized learning abilities which can make a profound difference in how we perform academically and prepare for college.
WHAT WILL WE LEARN?
The Highlands Ability Battery will give students an ideal job description based on their cognitive abilities.
